Continuing their support of the
Evermore Community Improvement District (CID), Gwinnett County
Chairman Charles Bannister and District 3 Commissioner Mike
Beaudreau recently toured the newly installed sidewalks and
streetscaping constructed via a partnership between the County and
CID. The Evermore CID managed the pedestrian safety improvement,
completing the SPLOST funded project on time and under budget.
Chairman Bannister says, "The
County's partnership with the Evermore CID continues to deliver for
our taxpayers by accelerating project completion and stretching the
value of every tax dollar."
Commissioner Beaudreau added, "The
Evermore CID has demonstrated tremendous progress and already
delivered exciting improvements to an area of my district in need of
attention. I have made it a practice to tour the Evermore corridor
with Executive Director Brett Harrell several times each year,
staying abreast of plans and progress. The future of Evermore is
indeed bright."
The Park Place area sidewalk project
included 2,500 feet of five-foot wide sidewalk, street benches,
decorative trash receptacles, painted pedestrian crossing signals,
and Evermore sign toppers.
"The Park Place community originally
identified this improvement during one of the CID's public input
opportunities. With the continued strong support of Chairman
Bannister and Commissioner Beaudreau, the Evermore CID will be able
to provide additional community improvements as requested by our
citizens and businesses", concluded Harrell.
